• De Boer, Baumann & Company, PLC Announces Promotion

    The local accounting and consulting firm of De Boer, Baumann & Company, PLC is pleased to announce the promotion of Shawna Silvernail, CPA.
    Silvernail has been with the firm for the entirety of her professional career—since 2016. Previously a staff accountant, she is excited to step into the new role of senior staff accountant. In this capacity, she is responsible for preparing financial statements and tax returns for businesses, as well as various other tax returns including, but not limited to, payroll, individuals, and trusts.
    “I am very excited for Shawna as she takes on this new role,” stated Mark Veenstra, CPA, Managing Partner of De Boer, Baumann & Company. “Her commitment to the firm and her clients over the last three years has really impressed me. This promotion is well deserved.”
    A graduate of Western Michigan University, Silvernail earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2012 and a Master of Science in Accountancy in 2014. She also holds an Associate of Arts with honors from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She is currently affiliated with the Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA). Silvernail lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
