HOLLAND, MICH. – Work is complete on a new $2 million, 25,000-square-foot production facility and headquarters for Hoekstra Electrical Services at 68 West 64th Street in Holland.

Hoekstra Electrical has 70 employees and had outgrown its previous location in Hamilton, Mich.

“We’ve been steadily growing since we started 15 years ago and needed to expand in order to add more space for all of our operations,” said company President Paul Hoekstra, whose firm

specializes in commercial, residential, industrial and agricultural electrical, along with controls & automation engineering and integration.

The Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce will host a dedication and ribbon cutting for the new facility on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 3:30 p.m. at 80 West 64th Street, Holland.

In addition to more space, the move gives the business closer access to the Interstate highway to better serve its customers. The new facility includes expanded areas for all aspects of the business, including the controls and automation group.

Construction of the new facility by Midwest Construction Group of Zeeland was started in 2018 and was completed earlier this summer. Midwest Construction Group specializes in construction management projects primarily in the greater West Michigan area.
