Scott Millen, Managing Partner and Creative Principal at local marketing agency 2 Fish Company, LLC, has been named a 2019 “Person to Watch” by Graphic Design USA (GDUSA).
For more than five decades, GDUSA has been one of the nation’s most prominent sources of design news and information. Each year, GDUSA chooses a group of “People to Watch” who “embody the spirit of the creative community.”
Millen is among 37 individuals who were selected for 2019.
“[We choose] individuals we have come to know and respect for their talent, leadership, success, newsworthiness, and community service,” said GDUSA Publisher Gordon Kaye. “[Scott] was at the top of my list and one of my personal choices. I’m very impressed with [his] work year after year.”
Millen spent the first fifteen years of his career honing his expertise in marketing and sales strategy, visual communication, and creative storytelling through roles at a major retailer and a number of agencies in West and Southwest Michigan.
He and his wife, Michelle, started 2 Fish Co, a creative business-to-business marketing agency, in 2011. 2 Fish Co. now employs a team of nine and is located in Zeeland. This is not the first time that Millen has been named a “Person to Watch” by GDUSA.
“When GDUSA selected me more than a decade ago, boy was I pumped,” said Millen. “Here we are 14 years later, and it happens all over again. I’m pretty floored and definitely flattered. I said it then, and I’ll say it again: we’re a team. I can do nothing without the amazing creative people that I get to work with every day. This recognition is really of the work we all do together at 2 Fish Company.” This is the fifty-sixth year that GDUSA has named “People to Watch.”
