    Holland, Michigan – Warner Norcross + Judd LLP Mark K. Harder has been elected treasurer of the Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area.
    The foundation works to ensure that the Holland-Zeeland area thrives by building the community’s endowment to support high-impact charitable projects, leading and partnering in community-level initiatives and helping donors achieve their charitable goals. Harder has served on the board in various leadership roles since 2014, including board chair, and has served on the executive committee since 2016.
    Harder concentrates his practice in estate planning, estate settlement and trust administration for high-net-worth individuals, and in the representation of family-owned businesses and their owners.
    Active both personally and professionally, he is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the State Bar of Michigan. He chaired the State Bar of Michigan committee that spent more than five years writing the Michigan Trust Code, the body of law which governs how trusts are established and administered in the state. Harder has held leadership and board positions with numerous community and professional organizations.
    Harder has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America since 2005, which named him Lawyer of the Year in the Grand Rapids area for trusts and estates law in 2010 and 2017. He has been ranked in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide since 2016 and recognized since 2006 by Michigan Super Lawyers, which has named him to multiple lists, including the Top 50 Consumer Attorneys list in 2018.
    Harder holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with high distinction from the University of Iowa and his doctor of jurisprudence with highest distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law.
