The City of Holland and the Holland Area Arts Council and their sponsors are pleased to announce the first annual International Festival of Holland Poster Art Competition
through which a work of art is selected for the 2019 International Festival of Holland poster. In addition to the poster, the artwork may be used on merchandise to promote
    the festival.

The International Festival of Holland has been organized to celebrate diversity and inclusion. The Festival will be held August 17, 2019. The art for the poster should reflect the
artists perception of this theme. There will be no need for text in the design as we are seeking the image only. Marketability of the artwork will be one of the considerations in the
selection. The committee reserves the right to alter the artwork for purposes of merchandising and design.
The festival organizers invite artists from around the world to submit artwork for the festival artwork competition. Artists may submit up to three works for a single entry fee of $25. Artists age 18 and older may submit art in any two dimensional medium that can be photographed. The size of the artwork should be no larger than 16” x 20” inches and no smaller than 8”x 12” inches and be rectangular in shape.

The panel of judges will be from The Holland Arts Council and the International Festival Board. The judges will select top 10 works from all submitted and select from that the final poster art winner. There will be a cash award for the final winning image. The deadline to enter will be January 8th 2019 at 8:00 pm. The Holland Arts Council will begin accepting work on January 5th but not before. Original unframed works can be dropped off at the Holland Area Arts Council 150 E. 8th St. Holland, MI during business hours. Keep any wrapping or protection with you after the drop off or be prepared not to get it back. The final Poster Reveal will occur in February to celebrate artist submissions and the winners.
