Zeeland Board of Public Works Selects New Utilities Manager
The Zeeland Board of Public Works (BPW) is pleased to announce that Andrew Boatright has been approved as the next Utilities Manager.
“After an extensive national search, the BPW Board and Zeeland City Council have unanimously selected Andrew Boatright as utilities manager.” stated BPW Chair Linda Boerman.
Mr. Boatright comes to Zeeland with over thirty-five years of experience in the public sector, primarily in the public power sector. He has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and is a Professional Engineer (P.E.)
Most recently, Mr. Boatright served as Deputy Director and Acting Director for the City of Independence Power & Light, a municipally-owned electric utility. Prior to that, he was Electric Utility Manager at the City of Westerville, Ohio. Boatright also sat on the American Public Power Association (APPA) Board of Directors and served as Chair of APPA from 2016 to 2017.
Boatright will be replacing current General Manager Bill Cook, who is retiring January 21, 2019.
