Developing the Workforce of Tomorrow: Chamber Style

Smiling InternsThe Chamber’s internal talent development comes in the form of our amazing student interns who represent local high schools and colleges, as well as connect with us through Careerline Tech Center. This fall we have welcomed Justin Freeman and Autumn Post to our team to support our Marketing and Sales departments. Our interns make a huge impact in our day-to-day work, and they leave here with incredible insights into our business community and the people who make it remarkable. Be sure to introduce yourself if you meet them at an event or at our office.

Autumn Post

Member Engagement Intern

“Hi, my name is Autumn Post. I’m a Member Engagement Intern here at the Chamber, where I spend two hours a day, Monday-Thursday. When I’m not working here, I attend Allendale High School as part of the 2020 class. After my upcoming graduation, I plan to major in Public Relations at either Northern Michigan University or the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, reading, listening to music, and spending time with my friends. I am very thankful for the amazing opportunities I’ve already received working here and am looking forward to the months to come!”

Justin Freeman

Marketing and Communications Intern

“If you looked at my life from a bird's eye view, you’d see that I’m a hometown guy, a Holland native, a multi-sport Hope athlete, and a Hope College Business and Communications double major. Yes, I’m a student and yes, I’m the greatest sprinter to ever grace Hope College’s campus. Yes, I am what everyone can see that I am on paper, but who am I really? Personally, I see myself as much more than a guy from Holland who took a plethora of classes at Hope and can run fast in a straight line. I use four words to characterize myself in the best way; Innovator - for my passion for growth and new ideas, Motivator - for the way I encourage those around me to strive for greatness, Trailblazer - for my fearless drive to attack life at new angles, and Curator - for the meticulous way in which I go about every aspect of my life, from the people I surround myself with, down to the clothes I wear. At the end of the day I’m just a guy with a drive for success, who is always working towards that goal. All of the facts and accomplishments listed are simply a byproduct of my hard work and determination to be successful in life, no matter the path I travel down.”

Justin is a Super Senior at Hope College, who will finish school in December. He graduated from Hope in May 2019 with a degree in Business but returned to school for an additional semester in order to complete a second major in Communications. He attended West Ottawa High School.
