Michigan West Coast Chamber Hosts 4th Annual Community Impact Day, Expanding Reach Across Michigan

Holland, MI – The Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its 4th annual Community Impact Day on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM, and this year’s event is bigger than ever. With a goal of mobilizing 2,025 volunteers locally and expanding participation to nearly 10 other communities across the state, the initiative is set to turn ripples of service into tidal waves of impact.

Over 100 local nonprofit locations have submitted volunteer opportunities, offering businesses, teams, and individuals a chance to give back in meaningful ways. From hands-on service projects to community clean-ups, there are countless ways for volunteers to make a difference. In an exciting development, nearly 10 additional Chambers of Commerce across Michigan have signed on to host Community Impact Day in their communities at the same time, multiplying the event’s impact beyond West Michigan. This expansion reflects a growing movement of businesses and individuals coming together to serve and strengthen their communities.

"Community Impact Day is all about what we can accomplish when we come together with purpose," said Jodi Owczarski, President and CEO of the West Coast Chamber. “This year, we’re rallying 2,025 volunteers right here in our community and sparking action in communities across the state. Every act of service creates a ripple effect, and together, we’re making tidal waves of impact—strengthening neighborhoods, supporting organizations, and driving real, lasting change.”

Community Impact Day is open to all individuals, businesses, and organizations looking to make a difference. Those interested in participating can explore volunteer opportunities and sign up through the West Coast Chamber’s website at https://bit.ly/41GBado.
